About ISOF

HISTORY
The Institute for Schools of the Future was chartered as a not-for-profit organization by the Board of Regents of the State University of New York, for and on behalf of the State Department of Education. For the past 20 years, the Institute has been dedicated to improving the quality of mathematics and science education, locally and nationally, with emphasis on the creative use and application of new technologies. ISOF views emerging technologies as critical tools for the enhancement of learning, the expansion of viable teaching techniques, and the provision of dynamic and challenging of knowledge resources for students and teachers alike.

PRESENT
The Institute's mission is accomplished through ongoing research, evaluation, implementation, and dissemination of the new, cutting-edge interactive teaching models and technology-driven learning systems. The Institute participates actively and directly in the learning environment as it carries out its commitment to educate teachers and administrators and to provide opportunities to students. ISOF's priority is service — educational and creative. Its goal is the effective preparation of today's youth for leadership roles in an undreamed future.
